SLEEP APNEA SURGERY

This surgery is advised for people who suffer from snoring and sleep apnea, which can stop them and their families from resting at night. The snoring is caused by an obstruction in the airways. This obstruction can have its origins in the:
Nose: the nasal septum is repositioned and the turbinate body is cauterized. Palate: an uvuloplasty is carried out.
The origin of the obstruction is determined by using a rhino-endoscope when visiting the doctor the day before surgery. A minimum stay of 5 days in the city is recommended for this surgery, which requires a hospital stay of 24 hours.

SEPTOPLASTY

This surgery is advisable for people with problems breathing through their nose. A nasal endoscope is used with a general anesthetic. Diagnosis for the pathology is carried out by using a simple facial X-ray. A minimum stay of 5 days in the city is recommended, with only a 24 hour stay in hospital being needed.

SINUSITIS SURGERY

This is advisable for people with chronic infections of the paranasal sinuses that do not diminish when treated with drugs. These infections can have their origins in different structures, such as the ethmoid sinuses, the maxilliary sinuses or because of a deviation of the nasal septum, and different surgical approaches can be used. Endoscopic surgery is carried out. A minimum stay in the city of 5 days is recommended. A hospital stay of 24 hours is required.

RHINOPLASTY

This is aesthetic surgery of the nose that corrects crookedness or a prominent bony ridge. In most cases it is carried out using closed surgery so as to avoid scarring and reduce post-operative complications. General anesthetic is used. A minimum stay in the city of 5 days is recommended. A hospital stay of 24 hours is required.

TONSILLECTOMY

This consists of removing the tonsils as a last measure in treating recurring tonsillitis. It is a short procedure that is carried out under general anesthetic, requiring only a 24 hour stay in hospital. A minimum stay in the city of 5 days is recommended.
